Niedersachsen one of the vibrant states of the Federal Republic of Germany is keen on establishing close ties with Indian enterprises to promote trade and commerce to a mutual advantage.
To pursue this objective, the State of Niedersachsen has appointed Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt Ltd (HMFI) as their representative in India. HMFI is a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG (DMAG), Hannover based in Niedersachsen.
The State of Niedersachsen has been taking a keen interest in rapidly developing Indian economy since long. Within the last three years three high power delegations from Niedersachsen, led by former Minister for Economics, Labour and Transport,
Mr. Walter Hirche, in 2006, by Prime Minister Christian Wulff in 2008 and by
current Minister for Economics, Labour and Transport, Dr. Philipp Rösler, in
2009 had visited India that in each case comprised business representatives
from diverse industry sectors.
The main objectives of the representation in India include:
Strengthening economic, commercial and political contacts.
Acting as a point of information for Indian enterprises on the policies of Ministry of Economics Labor and Transport of Niedersachsen.
Facilitating Indian companies operating in Niedersachsen and to encourage and assist Indian companies to set up businesses in Niedersachsen.
Facilitating companies from Niedersachsen operating in India or intending to enter Indian market.
